New York - An ambitious plan to build a mosque right at Ground Zero, New York, has angered the city. Project supporters said the planned construction of Islamic centers that will change the Manhattan streets and roads for the American people to interact with Muslims since 3000 people were killed in the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Construction of mosques with sports facilities, theaters and other facilities, will be open to all visitors. This is to show that Muslims are part of their community. Not a separate element.
However, because the proposed location of the mosque is just around the corner of the gaping hole at Ground Zero, even angered some local residents. "Anger continues," quoted in www.nomosquesatgroundzero.wordpress.com site.
